showing reluctance, especially when insincere or affected, to reveal one’s plans or opinions, make a commitment, or take a stand:

With no posts for over a week you could argue that I was being coy about McCoy and you wouldn’t be far wrong. In the last post I mentioned that he had gone on a bit of run with 4 winners in 5 rides. If that wasn’t painful enough he carried on the run with 9 winners from 17 to wipe out the previous good start that I had made. I didn’t personally watch all the races he was involved in winning/losing although I know that in one of them he was second to a horse that was trading at 1.03 and ten lengths clear until it fell at the last!  As well as that horse , in that run of 9 winners some  of  the horses he beat traded at 1.10, 1.26 and 1.27. When your lucks out I suppose it really is out! It’s clear that the run at the start of the project was extremely positive and the recent run has been the absolute polar opposite and it would be easy to stop now – however (rightly or wrongly) I’m convinced that taking on McCoy is the right then to do and I’m going to stick with it. It literally needs a couple of short priced favourites to get knocked over and I’m away again. I couldn’t  help but groan when he had a succession of short priced losers at Wetherby on Saturday which was one of the tracks that I had identified as being worth avoiding…

Cricket wise it was a great performance by England to completely dominate India and I cant see any reason why they cant do more of the same in the 4th test starting this week – I think the price of 3.25 is far too low in what is effectively a “must win” match for India and while it may suit England to play for a draw I cant see that happening on a bouncy dry wicket that has been prepared to get a result.I’ll be taking the draw on and hope to trade out early.

There were rumours of wheelbarrows being sighted in numerous Bet Fred shops after the last test with a nice 10/1 double landed after Mr Flintoff’s early success and a good example of the advantage of getting out and about- anyone lucky enough to get on that offer online will  almsot certainly have had their card marked by Mr Done for having the temerity to win!

Finally I had to mention a superb weelend for the football analyst service,  regular readers of the blog will know that the service has endured a somewhat sticky start to the season but it was a superb weekend with 15 bets advised and 10 winners at decent prices. What made it even more impressive was the 5 losing bets were all draws  so it wasnt a million miles away from being a clean sweep. Its good to see the service back into profit and I’m hoping it will now kick on.

Lastly, slightyly late but what  superb Manchester derby . I particulary loved this picture of the city anthem “Blue moon”  ;-)
